Lydia Davila is currently leading the Global EHSS Team since May 2021. Lydia started her career in Amgen at the Juncos Fill and Finish Facility in 1992. Lydia has held a variety of leadership roles within the company over the past twenty-nine years. After 10 years leading Facilities, Utilities and Maintenance groups in the AML Formulation, Fill and Finish Facility, in 2002 she moved to the AML Expansion Project, commonly known by OPUS, responsible for the design, commissioning, start-up and operational readiness of the new Central Utilities Plant and Warehouse. Over the next 9 years, Lydia gained experience in various roles and participated in key projects as Facility/ Seismic Retrofit, Alternate Energy Projects, Start-up, Commissioning and Qualification for new Manufacturing Plants (Small Molecule Facility and Formulation/ Filling Plant), Next Generation Facilities, Master Planning etc. From 2011 to 2015, Lydia moved to lead the Risk Management Organization for the Puerto Rico Site responsible for the Operations Risk, Business Continuity and Crisis Management Program. In 2014, she was assigned as the interim Plant Manager at the Neupogen and Neulasta (Drug Substance) Manufacturing Plant in Puerto Rico. In 2015 she led one of the Quality Improvements Program initiatives responsible for the procedure’s optimization work stream and the implementation of the My SOP video tool for the company. In April 2016, Lydia was appointed as the Executive Director of Engineering at the PR Site, responsible for leading the facilities and engineering team. In March 2017, as part of an expat assignment, Lydia moved with her family to Ireland and led the Ireland Site Support Department for 4 years. She led the learning and performance, validation, facilities & utilities, operational excellence, and maintenance support teams at the Dublin Site. She also led the Project Management Office programs. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, she earned a BS degree in Mechanical Engineering at the Engineering School of the University of Puerto Rico, Mayaguez Campus
