Education: He earned a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Biochemical Engineering from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (UAM) in Mexico City, followed by a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya in Barcelona, Spain. Research & Academic Experience: He completed extensive postdoctoral research, spending five years at the College of Medicine at Korea University and subsequently working as a researcher at the University of Houston. His academic work has focused on G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs), allosteric modulators for cardioprotective signaling, and identifying small molecules capable of neutralizing viral infections like SARS-CoV-2.
