Godwin Dzidotor is a Ph.D. student in the chemical and biomolecular engineering department at the University of Connecticut. His research focuses on the regeneration of articular cartilage. His current project aims to regenerate the articular cartilage at the knee joint to help address impairments that may arise from traumatic knee injuries in sports or knee osteoarthritis that may result from old age, obesity, etc., and investigates the use of scaffolds/grafts and knee braces. Success in this project can tremendously improve the livelihood of millions of Americans suffering from knee injuries.
