Dr. Yul Williams is the Technical Director for the National Security Agency/Central Security Service Sensor and Data Operations. Dr. Williams brings extraordinary vision and expertise, as he has made lasting contributions to all three facets of Computer Network Operations – defense, exploitation, and attack. Additionally, he leveraged his understanding of the cyber domain mission needs to create an innovation venue to drive new ways to approach and solve challenging problems. His professionalism and dedication to the field of cyber transcend the technical and extends to his ability to mentor, develop and prepare individuals from all missions and disciplines for the challenges of a complex and dynamic cyber environment.

​​Dr. Williams also serves as an adjunct faculty member at the University of Maryland Global Campus and The George Washington University. He teaches courses in Computer Science at both the graduate and undergraduate levels.

What are you most proud of in your work or life?

I’m most proud of raising two intelligent young men who are finding their way in the world.

What are your passions and hobbies?

I have a passion for creating and building prototypes of concepts that would be helpful to people using a combination of electronics, software and velcro.

Throw some dirt, lose some ground.

Anything salty

After training as a martial artist and being beaten up by the best in the world, there is little else anyone can do to scare me!
