What tools or strategies do you use to balance work and life?

“For me, the most powerful realization about work-life balance has been accepting that it will be a constant balancing act. You always have to be mindful of your bandwidth and energy levels to adjust as needed. There will be times when you need to put in the overtime and feel exhausted. There are times when you take a longer lunch and you cannot feel guilty about it. I like to put guardrails around my overtime, such as, I will push for three weeks until a deadline and then I will make sure I have protected time to recover appropriately.”
