Applications for the 2026-2027 academic year are now open! We invite undergraduate students of all levels to apply for inSTEM by September 7, 2026.
Currently, there are 12 spots open in the freshman cohort, CSUEB-2030, 2 spots in the sophomore cohort CSUEB-29, and 1 spot in the junior cohort CSUEB-28. However, we encourage all levels to apply as spots may open up later in the summer.

There are many different ways to participate as a Mentor in our program, and we invite you to explore our programming to see how you can get involved. STUDENT SPOTLIGHT
Jamarr Chisom
Jamarr Chisom is a member of the inaugural inSTEM Cohort at California State University – East Bay. He plans to major in the biological sciences.
When asked what his fondest memory of the inSTEM program so far – Jamarr shared, “My fondest memory of my experience was when I got my inSTEM mentor. It is my fondest memory because I was so anxious to get one, especially one that had the same interests as me and could help me with my major. Additionally, inSTEM has helped me organize a busy class and homework schedule. I have been able to lessen the stress of school life with the lessons and tips I was given in the inSTEM meetings.”
