Sherika Ekpo (she/her), a native of the D.C. Metropolitan area, joined Google in 2019 as the Global Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Lead for the Artificial Intelligence, Research, and Health product areas. Prior to Google, Sherika served as the Head of People Operations at the United States Digital Service (USDS) and the Director of Talent Acquisition at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB). Sherika has over 15 years of experience and a diverse set of skills in recruiting, data analysis, diversity and inclusion and public policy. She has worked in both the public and private sectors with enterprises such as J.P. MorganChase, General Electric, and the Department of Homeland Security, just to name a few. Sherika received her Masters of Business Administration from the University of Maryland’s Robert H. Smith School of Business and Bachelors of Business Administration from Howard University. Outside of her professional experiences, Sherika enjoys dancing, traveling, and has a new passion for exploring nature since moving to Silicon Valley. She is the proud mother of three and resides in Santa Clara, California with her husband and kids.
