Paul Kaminski’s career hasn’t gone undetected; only his inventions have.
Kaminski, a technologist and former U.S. government official who is now the chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Technovation, Inc., is best known for his leading role in the development of the stealth aircraft. His technology is designed to avoid detection by using a variety of technologies that reduce the reflection and emission of radar, infrared, visible light, radio-frequency spectrum and audio, and in turn, to advance military operations.
Kaminski earned a bachelor’s degree from the Air Force Academy, his master’s in aeronautics, astronautics and electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his Ph.D. in aeronautics and astronautics from Stanford University. He gave 20 years of active service in the U.S. Air Force and served as the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Technology.
Through these roles, he was responsible for overseeing the development, production and fielding of major stealth systems, such as the F-117 Night Hawk, an advanced air combat vehicle, and missile and terminal guidance systems, among others.
He now acts as a defense adviser and consultant to a variety of government agencies and serves as chairman, director or trustee of several defense and technology-oriented companies.
